Our Story
Eighteen stamp collectors answered Lauren Januz’s call.
On the evening of September 25, 1969, they gathered at Lauren’s home and established the West Suburban Stamp Club. They set up regular meetings, organized engaging programs, and conceptualized the first annual WSSC stamp show, which is now known as “The Plymouth Show.”
By May 1970, over eighty members, along with their spouses and friends, were actively preparing for the first Plymouth Show, which successfully drew more than a thousand attendees. The sense of cooperation, enthusiasm, and camaraderie that characterized the club in its early days has since become a defining feature of the organization.
